Medical Second Opinion

Medical Second Opinion

In pediatric oncology, a specialized second opinion can provide greater diagnostic clarity and help confirm the most appropriate therapeutic strategy. Our team offers expert evaluation based on a thorough review of clinical documentation and, when appropriate, through a multidisciplinary approach.

Confidentiality and Scientific Rigor

All clinical documentation received is handled with strict confidentiality, in accordance with current data protection regulations. Medical evaluations are conducted following up-to-date scientific criteria and, when necessary, through multidisciplinary review.

Our commitment is to provide an expert, objective, and evidence-based opinion focused exclusively on the best interest of the patient.

How to Request a Medical Second Opinion

To request a second opinion consultation, it is necessary to have the complete medical documentation of your child available, as well as information about the therapeutic options that have been proposed.

The documentation may include, among others:

  • Medical reports
  • Imaging studies (tumor evaluation and treatment response)
  • Diagnostic paraffin block (and, if applicable, from relapse)
  • Surgical, cardiology, nephrology, radiotherapy reports, etc.

Once this information has been received and reviewed, your child’s case will be assessed for consultation in Pediatric Oncology.

To request a second opinion appointment, please call +34 91 708 99 35 or submit your inquiry through the Contact page, attaching the requested documentation.

The Radiology Department will only perform the necessary imaging studies if you attend the appointment with a prior medical report.
